Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) Makedonia

The airport is located south of Thessaloniki. You can get to the A24 via the Autobahn feeder. This leads south to Halkidiki or north to the city of Thessaloniki. Shortly before Thessaloniki you can take the ring road. This leads around the city so that you can avoid the heavy traffic of the city. Via the bypass you can either drive east on the Egnatia (A2) to Kavala and Thassos or to Athens (A1) and Ioannina in Epirus.

Today, the metropolis of Thessaloniki is a university and culture city with a distinct gastronomic tradition and high standard of nightlife.
The central square of Thessaloniki is Aristotelous Square, which ends up in the sea and offers a great view of the Thermaikos Gulf and Mount Olympus. Around it there is the market of Thessaloniki, the Ladadika and many small and large galleries. Among the most important markets are the scarves, the beesheets and the Modiano market. In Eleftheria Square there is also the holocaust monument of the Jews of Thessaloniki.
At the center of the beach there is the White Tower, which is the trademark and the most famous monument of the city. Around the White Tower are the theaters and the most important museums of Thessaloniki such as the Byzantine and Archaeological Museums
 
Moving from the White Tower you are passing through the well-known sculpture umbrellas, after that "nea paralia" begins with the theme gardens and ends at the Concert Hall.
One of the most characteristic sigths of the city is the arch of Galerios, known as the arches and is the meeting point of the Thessalians.
 
To the north is the Upper Town, which is called the balcony of Thessaloniki due to the panoramic view of the city and the Thermaic Gulf.
