The deliver of your rental car can take place either at Athens airport Eleftherios Venizelos, in a hotel of your choice in the Athens metropolitan area or in our city office in Athens. For a rental period of at least one week, you can the rented car in Athens return in Thessaloniki, for a fee.

Eleftherios Venizelos Airport is located southeast of Athens. Directly at the airport is the motorway (A6) which leads south to the various seaside resorts in Attica or if you drive north, to Athens with the numerous exits and to Peloponnese. The A6 crosses the A1 which leads inland via Delphi and Thermpopylen to Pelion and Thessaloniki.
Many interesting destinations are close to Athens and easy to reach by rental car. The most important one is the Temple of Poseidon at the Sounion. The trip leads along the southern attic along the sea. The sunset in the Sounion is one of the most beautiful in Greece. Not far away is the city marathon in 490 BC. One of the most important battles in world history took place. From here the soldier ran to Athens to convey the victory message and thus gave the name to today's marathon.
Delphi and Thermopylae are also easily accessible by rental car to the west. If you drive south to Peloponnese, you can visit the Epidavros amphitheater, the most important theater of antiquity and the ruins of the Mycenae, the first high culture on mainland Europe.

With a history of more than 4,000 years, Athens is the oldest European city and the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, theater, music, poetry and literature.
At the center of the city is the Acropolis, built on the rock of the gods. From here the view extends to the sea. In the Acropolis Museum below you can see the works of art of the Parthenon.
In just a few steps you can reach the old town district of Plaka with houses from the 19th century and numerous cafés and taverns. Ancient ruins can be found here on almost every corner.
At Syntagma Square in front of the parliament building, you can see the ev zones at the changing of the guard. Right next to it is the National Garden, a green island that provides relaxation from the heat in the summer months. You can get to Lekabettos above the Kolonaki district with its elegant boutiques. From here, the view of the city is overwhelming.
The city of Athens has a rich cultural heritage. You can find it in its many museums.
Other cultural sites around the city center of Athens and should not be missed during a city tour are the Temple of Olympian Zeus the largest temple of antiquity and dedicated to the god Zeus, the temple of Hephaestus one of the best preserved temples, Filopappos hill with a great view over the city as well as the Panathinaikon Stadium, the oldest stadium in the world that is still in operation today. The first modern Olympic Games took place here in 1896 and the Olympic flame is still passed on to this day.
